Buckles

Buckles, made of stainless steel for leather straps; also known as tongue buckles, are our main products. We have a variety of standard styles of buckles in various materials, finishings and widths in stock. The buckles are delivered in three parts and do not come assembled; the 50 piece set of buckles on velour-coated trays, the tongues and spring bars are packed loose in separate bags.

Buckles are traditionally made in the even widths (for example 16, 18 or 20 mm), odd widths remain the exception and are rare. Further, there are buckles with a tongue support (e.g. style 3000) or without tongue support (e.g. style 3020). Buckles without tongue supports can be used with tongues of different widths, for buckles with tongue support, this means an adaption of the tooling and is more difficult.

Moreover, buckles can have different types of holes (for receiving the spring bar, which in turn, holds the tongue): the so-called 'blind hole': the spring bar is not visible from the outside, whereas the tip of the spring bar is visible in the full hole. This requires special consideration with coated buckles.

The majority of our products are manufactured in Asia, the refinement (coating, engraving) is mainly executed with partners in Switzerland. Certain buckles are manufactured in Europe.
